WILDLIFE PAVILION

The Wildlife Pavilion near the Vyhoda Narrow-Gauge Railway Heritage Center was established within the framework of the international project ‘Carpathian Forest Schools – Pilot Cooperation for Nature Conservation and Environmental Education’, supported by the Ivano-Frankivsk Tourism Association. It is an interactive space where visitors can virtually “dive” underground and explore a world usually hidden from the human eye.

Inside, giant models—enlarged many times over—depict soil-dwelling creatures: toads, an earthworm, a longhorn beetle, woodlice, a ground beetle, ant larvae, a grass snake, and other wildlife.

The pavilion has become a popular learning venue for the youngest participants of the Forest School, as well as for tourists and visitors to the Centre. It advances environmental education and fosters careful stewardship of nature through vivid impressions and hands-on discovery.
